Gary Lopez and Baker Street
In addition to his solo perfomances,
Gary also performs with "Bongo" Bob Noyes and Neal Demazure.
Bob's two decade stint in the drum chair of Maine's legendary Blue Flames (AKA Blues Prophets) provided him with opportunities to share the stage with B.B.King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lonnie Mack, Dr. John, James Cotton, Otis Rush, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Jimmy Rogers, Carey Bell, Koko Taylor, Son Seals, Philip Walker, J.Geils Bluestime, the Tailgators, Eddie Shaw and The Wolfgang, and the Legendary Blues Band. During Bob's tenure, the Blue Flames performed as the backing band for Billy Boy Arnold, David Bromberg, Eddie Kirkland, and the W.C. Handy award-winning blues piano wizard, Joe Willie “Pinetop” Perkins, a musical relationship that extended over a decade. In 1995, Bob and the band backed up Pinetop on his nationwide CD release "Live Top" on Deluge Records, which peaked at #5 on the Blues Breakers radio chart in The Hard Report. In addition to heavy airplay, "Live Top" received very favorable reviews in Down Beat, Living Blues, BluesWire, the CMJ New Music Report, and the Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange.
Bob is especially excited by their collaboration with Neal Demazure, whose bass stylings have provided Gary and Bob the foundation on which to create a funky new sound.
